Be sure to download the free trial version first to check for compatibility. This game (which I loved to play on my old computer) will not run on my vista machine, even in compatibility mode for XP SP2.

The overall game premise is simple: collect coins, destroy enemies. It is very similar to Super Mario Bros., but with more focus on exploring and coin collecting. Supercow is a very competent attempt at a simple side-scroller for the whole family. It's great to wind down with after a day of shooting terrorists on Modern Warfare. Supercow is gorgeous to look at, and was lovingly crafted from start to finish. Great voice acting helps flesh out an unnecessary plot of sorts, as does a gentle learning curve and loads and loads of levels to explore. It's biggest weakness is also its greatest strength, and that is the simplicity of the gameplay. You simply walk and jump. Easy to love, but not much meat to it. I would love to see this developer try their hand at a dense, fully funded, sidescrolling console game.

This is great game adaptation from the classic book by Jules Verne, "Around the World in 80 Days". Another game from the mold of Bejeweled, Big Kahuna, Jewel Quest, Rise of Atlantis, etc. But with the classic background and wonderful story theme, this is a winner. Every time you finish a round it flips a page on the book, feeding a piece of the story as you continue your travel.

Graphics is superb with great details. The background music is soothing.

When you get a power hammer, it actually lets you know which tiles can be removed. The tiles will shake and makes it easy to see if your selection is strategically what you want to remove, or decide to pick another set of tiles. I just wish that you can carry over the power hammers when you finish a set of tiles to the next round.

I have played Cradle of Rome for months now after downloading it from [...]. What a pain that website is! They constantly want to upload advertising to my machine every time I want to play my game. So being able to pay only $7.00 from Amazon and not have to put up with all i-Win's hassle is WONDERFUL. I paid over $20.00 to download it from them. They cheated me once, but never again.

I bought this game based on the fact I enjoyed playing the free demo and that the game had gotten good reviews (both on this site and elsewhere). I wasn't disappointed in the beauty of the game nor the scare factor. The scenes are beautifully rendered. It is a spooky, creepy game as well, and there were a few times the game made me jump in my seat. It is also a nice mix of hidden object and puzzle games. However, I did have some minor technical difficulties with the game slowing down and almost freezing at points. And my biggest complaint is that it was incredibly short! There are only three changes in location. The story is not well-developed, due in part to the game's length. If they had added more to the story line and added additional locations it would have been much better.

The second in the series, Magician's Handbook II proves to offer a significant challenge to hidden object lovers. The objects are tough to find- this is a game that takes some time and some skill. Hidden object lovers who find other games too easy will likely not be disappointed by this one- those who find other games too difficult will likely want to choose something else. This game offers amazing artwork, very detailed scenes, lots of gameplay and lots of challenge. Well worth it.

Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos

A master criminal who is seeking out and attempting to destroy classified data cuts a wide swath across the world. You frantically chase him from Moscow to London to New York to Tokyo and many more locations, frenetically searching for clues via hidden objects. And these objects are devillishly hard to find in the extremely cluttered environments you bomb into.

The art work is really stunning and the hidden objects are well integrated into each location so you're going to have to hustle to find them all before time runs out. If you can't beat the clock you have to repeat that whole level with an entirely new set of objects. The mini games are the usual- finding differences between two pictures, locating anachronistic errors in a scene, unmasking ten birds on the Statue of Liberty, etc.- but they're nicely done.

Interpol is cloak -and -dagger and the sounds and music, appropriate to each location, will help you get immersed in this fine adventure. I loved it!

This is one of the better hidden object games around. Lots of levels, some a bit repetitive, but overall creepy and just plain fun. The sound is extrordinary, the story is great, and although the graphics could be sharper in places, the overal game delivers some chills and plenty of addicitive fun. Raise ghosts as you re-assemble their tombstones - explore 13 haunted homes and some creepy photos. And ultimately solve who killed a little girl - I bought this game - and it has an exciting ending (the last levels are very fun) which made the whole thing very worth while and good scary fun in the dark!

"Magic Encyclopedia- First Story" was for me a fine example of serendipity because I did not expect a game of this caliber. The graphic scenes, all hand-painted, are absolutely beautiful. And the puzzles are challenging, fun and not all that easy. This is a feast for the eyes as well as the brain.

"Magic" is that species of hidden object game in which pieces of various items are scattered around the environment. -the motif is similar to the Mortimer Beckett games. The objects in their entirety that need to be found are pictured at the bottom of the screen but you have to hunt all over for the often weeny pieces of that object. When you have collected the entire item, say, a hammer or a shield, it goes in your inventory and you have to decide what to do with it as each object fits back into one of the scenes in a specific place, in other words it integrates and performs a function.

Many of the scattered pieces cannot be found until you successfully solve a mini-puzzle, and these puzzles are original and intriguing and challenging. In one you have to connect a series of pipe pieces so that none of the segments drip water- it's a leaky pipe to begin with. It took me many tries to solve this one but when I finally did essential information appeared, allowing me to proceed. All of these unusual mini-puzzles require solving, you can't skip them or you're dead in the water! They're timed, too, but not horrendously so. You can do them! There are many walkthroughs on Google if you get stuck!

You are guiding a young girl on a quest to find her brother and thwart manifestations of evil along the way as you careen from one exotic place to another- Mayan ruins, an English castle, ancient Egypt, ancient Greece. You visit an African shaman and a Native American wigwam and a spooky graveyard and many more colorful locations. Hints are readily available for each environment but you have to earn them.

CAVEAT: The cursor behaves rather erratically in this game. I had thought the problem was with my set until I read other peoples' complaints. There are times when it is very hard to control the cursor and it can be very frustrating. However, I enjoyed the game enough to put up with this annoyance and still award the five stars.
